Norton GoBack is an early attempt to protect users from data loss caused by user error or computer infections. It should never be installed on Windows XP.
Norton GoBack mut be disabled or uninstalled before I attempt data recovery. That means the system must be working. If you have a failed computer, there is no way to undo the effect of Norton GoBack. It is impossible for me to use my standard tools to recover data.
